MOOC

  Hi, how are ya!
To begin with, i'd like to introduce what MOOC is, so let's get started!
Mass open online course is a training course with mass interactive participation using e-learning technologies and open access via the Internet, one of the forms of distance education. In addition to traditional course materials such as video, reading and homework, mass open online courses provide an opportunity to use interactive user forums that help create and maintain communities of students, teachers and assistants.
  Let's be more precise!

1. Canvas Network

Canvas Network offers open, online courses taught by educators everywhere. Powered by the Canvas learning management system, Canvas Network provides a place and platform where teachers, students, and institutions worldwide can connect and chart their own course for personal growth, professional development, and academic inquiry. Canvas Network is developed and supported by Instructure, an education technology company that partners with educators, institutions, and technologists to build open educational resources and break down barriers to learning.

2. Coursera

Coursera gives you the opportunity to get some knowledge and experience from the best teachers in your field. Moreover, many of them, besides teaching, also have their own business. For example, Barbara Cannes, who has taught marketing courses, is the director of a well-known consulting company.

Although all courses are free of charge, for $40 you can get a certificate from the institution where you took the course. Why? And why do we go to various seminars and then post the papers about their completion on the wall? Then we need it here as well. For everyone around you, this is proof that you have actually completed the course and learned something new. It can also be useful for employment abroad, as well as for freelancing.

3. edX

With eighteen million learners, edX is still the second largest MOOC provider in the world (after Coursera). But it’s still struggling to find an answer on how to monetize its MOOC courses.
In 2018, edX removed the word “free” from its homepage, and then announced it would start testing a support fee. EdX ended the year by instituting a paywall for graded assignments.
In keeping with the trend towards MOOC-based degrees, edX announced eight new degree programs in 2018. In 2017, edX had just one online degree. More degrees are expected from edX in 2019. EdX’s employee base remained stable at around 150–200 employees.

Have you ever tried any of online courses ? Share your experience!
